Painting the feeling of home

ShangaziKenya is a Nairobi-based contemporary artist whose work draws on landscape, botanical forms and the layered memories held by familiar places.

Her paintings move between abstraction and recognition: a road after rain, a flash of jacaranda, a shoreline remembered from childhood. She also teaches children, creating a studio culture where curiosity matters more than perfection.
